Hi Martin, thank you for your email. Love your story and I'm really glad you will make it to Paris soon. Paris is a lovely city and a dream for most of us. It is a unique city that's for sure. May I suggest that the best place to stay in Paris for you might be the 9th district? If money is not an issue, then the 8th will also be great for you. But the 9th seemed quiet for us and it was decent walking distance to the main landmarks.
