If yes, then that is the best place to stay in Paris for the night. There are a few hotels for about $100 a night. Gare du Nord is in the 10th district. Now, traditionally, train station areas are not the prettiest but given you will be tired and probably just want to get on with your journey and not travel a lot with luggage, this seems like the best place to stay. On the day, you can ask the hotel to keep your luggage after the check out and use the morning for a quick explore. You will be around 25 minutes by public transport from the Eiffel Tower. So if you want, you can spend some time in the morning walking around the 7th district.
